Tree Habitat/Pruning/Reduction

Habitat: Sometimes it’s better to leave a dead tree standing and habitable, so wildlife can use the tree for perching or gives them a home to live in. By taking most of the limbs back and leaving a small amount there it makes the tree safe but still leaves the tree there for wildlife.

Pruning: Pruning may be done for various reasons; due to a tree hitting something on your property (such as your house, roof or fence) to shape your tree and keep it looking good and the pruning of deadwood or disease in branches.

Reduction: A weight reduction is done when a branch becomes too dense or the tree is off balance. By cutting and thinning out branches it lowers the density of the tree or puts the tree back in balance. If this is not done the tree is at high risk of dropping its branch/branches, or if the tree is off balance it may up root and fall over.
